IROS2025 is going to be in Hangzhou, China, 19-25 October. Join us at our workshop on textile robotics!

Textiles are characterized by an inherent flexibility and softness, which foster a safe and effective interaction with humans and delicate objects, making them ideal e.g. for robotic grippers or exosuits. While their comfort and ergonomics make textiles a natural choice for wearable devices, their versatility and robustness make them also particularly apt for robots navigating unstructured or constrained environments.

In this workshop, we address the use of textiles in robotics and ignite an exchange between researchers of all stages to explore future directions in this emerging domain. We aim to explore opportunities together from diverse viewpoints, gaining insights from a textile fabrication viewpoint, as well as touching on challenges in material innovation.
